Ben + Megan,
Where to start with these two 🙏
Getting lost on their engagement shoot or coffee dates like old friends, the whole process from first contact to the day after their wedding felt so completely comfortable, such genuine people.
Booking me for the full day meant covering the day from 10am and watching as the following vendors worked their magic transforming the barn + Megan at Eagles Rest, Valla.
Flowers: Boheme Botanical
Styling: The Romance Crew
Hair/Makeup: Jimmy James Makeup & Hair expertise
A quick visit to the boys at Urunga.
Ben asking what I needed from him turned into some of the most natural “guys getting ready” I’ve ever photographed.
Shaving faces, ironing shirts and learning how to tie a bow tie that was made from Megan’s dress, watching you tube clips on how it’s done, wondering if Ben would be able to pull it off. Thankful Mark knew what he was doing 🤗
I really felt so completely involved in this day and relaxed. Having the extra time really does make the day flow. When I returned to the barn it was a photographers dream. A massive grazing plate made by Pure Bread Sharkey.
I headed to the ceremony location and fell in love with the set up, the chairs supplied by Woodshop Weddings. The ladders holding the florals 😍 This was where I first met their wonderful celebrant Sam (@Married by Sam) and snapped some beautiful photos with her pink lippy against the stunning florals on the arbour.
When I returned to Megan, makeup and hair were done and it was time to frock up. The ceremony was drawing closer. Airlie and Megan both stunning!!!
Megan’s brother gave her away and well the look on Bens face says it all. A very quick ceremony and my fave confetti as they walked out and a lot of laughs as they were completely covered in it.
The usual bridal party fun and returning to the reception for some yummy food by Pure Bread Sharkey.
A great speech by the Best Man Craig left everyone in stitches, just look at the photos!
Cake by Bray Street Hot Bake.
Music by Dean Sharkey 👌 absolutely recommend!!!
Not the traditional bridal dance, instead they asked all their guests to get up and boogie with them and this turned into a circle of guests clapping on as each person entered and made their mark, what a fun evening!!!
It was during this night I thought to myself “I can’t wait for my next wedding as a guest, I hope I can have as much fun as they all did”.
Enjoy the photos, such a pleasure to create these memories for you both 🙏
