Luke + Lee

I met this wonderfully humble couple during an engagement session back in March 2018. We had planned for a sunrise session along the back beaches of crescent head. Luke and Lee had travelled from the south coast and were only staying for the weekend.

I still remember waking late, reaching for my phone only to find my battery had died through the night. I was frantic, going a million miles an hour, I found my husbands phone…. I needed to be at the beach in 15 minutes, a trip that would usually take me 30 minutes. I had no idea where to start. Once I finally slowed down and gathered my thoughts, I phoned Lee and with her calming and kind voice she reassured me it was all good and finished the call with “drive slowly and safely, there’s kangaroos about, we will see you soon”.

I was a little late (this doesn’t happen often ha.) but once I met this beautiful couple there needn’t be a worry in the world as all my thoughts about being late had left me almost instantly.

It was a great morning catching up with them and Lee’s son, plus their two dogs. Some of my favourite photos made.

Fast forward to December, their wedding day with even more wonderfully humble people surrounding them, I didn’t for one second notice stress or nerves on either of their faces.

So in love and not afraid to let it show. Their day was incredible and just as easy as they are.

It was a beautiful morning of prep, a stunning boho country theme.

Following the ceremony, Luke surprised Lee with a trip down the dirt road on a tractor he had decorated himself and the look on Lee’s face was priceless.

The speeches were fantastic, so much detail and seriously hilarious with loads of tears jammed in there too.

A stunning sunset which meant an even more stunning portrait session using the wharf at Gladstone.
